Prayer is the center of a life lived with God. It is the way we commune directly with the Lord. Sometimes we pray before meals, at weddings, or at funerals. Sometimes we pray when storms come and we’re in the midst of pain. Those are all great times to pray, but is there more? Is there more to prayer? What would it be like to live a praying life? Let’s discover that together. At Mercy, our prayers take on many forms. The songs we sing are in a way, prayers. The Psalms are largely prayers. Sometimes we have quiet times to pray silently and be still. Many times, those are the only moments during the week where we can truly be still. Sometimes we recite prayers together that have been used by believers since the early church. A pastor or leader will always be available to pray with anyone before or after a service. Our hope is not just that you would pray while you are with us; but that you would develop a praying life.
